Individual Therapy

 

Simone offers a strengths-based, humanistic approach that empowers clients to access their own inner wisdom to achieve their personal growth and relational goals.

 

Simone's diverse training in Internal Family Systems (IFS or "Parts Work"), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), IFS-Informed EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy allows her to utilize the most appropriate treatment approach for each individual at each stage of treatment.

Simone understands traditional talk therapy techniques are not always sufficient in addressing the full range of impact that trauma and emotional distress can have on individuals. She uses her training in Yoga, EMDR, and Sand Tray Therapy to incorporate mindfulness, meditation, healing movement, bilateral stimulation, and expressive arts into treatment.

and Family Therapy

Our closest relationships have a profound impact on our lives and wellbeing. Simone supports relationship healing from an attachment lens that is grounded in her advanced training in Emotion Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). She also supports parent-child relationships with Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) and Theraplay interventions.

Child and Adolescent Therapy

Simone has a long-standing passion for working with children and youth. Her previous career experience teaching and directing youth theater helped her develop a playful, flexible, and attuned style that allows her to connect and build safety with even the most skeptical and untrusting children and teens. 

​

Simone provides play therapy for children in her therapeutic playroom. Play therapy is the most developmentally appropriate intervention for youth and its effectiveness is backed by evidence. Simone has advanced training in Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Theraplay, Sand Tray Therapy, and EMDR with children. She also has background and education in expressive arts, mindfulness, and sensory integration.

Simone understands that the caregiving system and school environment have a major impact on the wellbeing of children, and therefore heavily includes caregivers in treatment and prioritizes advocacy in the school setting.
