Bailey Wielhouwer, MSW
License Approval Pending
Bailey creates a safe, empowering space where clients feel validated, respected, and understood. Working with children and adolescents has always been a passion of hers, and she approaches the unique challenges they face with empathy, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for each child’s individuality. Bailey is especially passionate about using play therapy to connect with children and teens in developmentally appropriate and meaningful ways.

Bailey’s educational background in victimology and her experience as a Youth Advocate supporting individuals experiencing homelessness have shaped her trauma-informed lens and deepened her understanding of the systemic and interpersonal impacts of trauma, violence, and victimization.

Bailey believes that therapy is never one-size-fits-all. Her approach is rooted in person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care, with a focus on honoring each client’s unique experiences, identities, and goals. She strives to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered as they move through their healing journey at their own pace.

Bailey completed her internship at Heartwise Counseling and earned her Master of Social Work from Rutgers University. She is currently awaiting approval of her social work license (LSW) and plans to return to Heartwise Counseling to resume clinical work. We are currently accepting clients for Bailey’s waiting list and will begin scheduling once her license has been approved.

Outside of the therapy room, Bailey enjoys singing, listening to music, and traveling. She views music as a powerful form of expression and hopes to pursue training in music therapy in the future. She also loves weekend adventures and has a goal of visiting all 50 states.
